Discovering Ancient to Modern Earth – Découvrir la Terre Ancienne à Moderne
MAC Members are invited to join us for the Joint Annual Meeting of the Geological Association of Canada, Mineralogical Association of Canada, and Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits which will be held at Laurentian University, in Sudbury, Ontario, May 24-27, 2023 with pre- and post-meeting field trips, workshops, and short courses. The meeting will be delivered in hybrid format with both in-person and virtual components. Abstracts, talks, and posters can be given in English or French.
The theme of the meeting is Discovering Ancient to Modern Earth, reflecting the location of Sudbury at the intersection of the Archean Superior Province, Proterozoic Southern and Grenville Provinces, and Paleozoic-Quaternary cover sequences. The conference will include an exceptionally diverse program of Symposia, Special Sessions, General Sessions, Field trips, Workshops, and Short Courses covering the complete spectrum of geoscience disciplines.

REQUEST FOR ABSTRACTS
The abstract submission system is active and will be open through 1 February 2023 for early submission of abstracts ($40), with late abstracts accepted at a higher fee ($60) between 2 February and 1 March 2023.

REGISTRATION
The registration fees for all of the various elements of the meeting are still being finalized, and the registration system will be activated within the next few weeks.
Important Dates:

24 April 2023: Deadline for hotel “block” bookings
23 May 2023: Deadline for on-line registration
24-27 May 2023: On-site registration

Vous êtes invité à vous joindre à nous pour l’assemblée annuelle conjointe 2023 de l'Association Géologique du Canada (AGC), de l'Association Minéralogique du Canada (AMC) et de la Société de Géologie Appliquée aux Gisements (SGA) qui se tiendra du 24 au 27 mai 2023 à l'Université Laurentienne à Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, avec des excursions de terrain, ateliers et cours intensifs pré- et post-conférence.
La conférence sera offerte dans un format hybride avec des composants en personne et virtuels. Les résumés, exposés et posters peuvent être donnés en français ou en anglais.
Le thème de la conférence est Découvrir la Terre Ancienne à Moderne, reflétant l'emplacement de Sudbury à l'intersection de la Province archéenne du Supérieur, des Provinces protérozoïques du Sud et du Grenville, et des couvertures paléozoïques quaternaire. La conférence comprendra un programme exceptionnellement diversifié de Symposiums, Sessions Spéciales, Sessions Générales, Excursions de Terrain, Cours Intensifs et Ateliers couvrant l'éventail complet des disciplines géoscientifiques.
