Short Courses
The MAC Short Course began in 1976 as part of the scientific program of the annual GAC-MAC meeting.
The Short Course consists of a series of lectures that will give the audience a sound review of a certain topic and concentrating on new developments in the field. It should be instructive and facilitate the understanding of the topic so even a newcomer to the field can quickly come up to speed.
The short course is designed to be published as a topical volume based on the presentations given at the course. The Topics in Mineral Sciences volumes are aimed at the graduate level, targeting both students and professionals who wish to upgrade their skills or who is seeking an overview of the current state of developments and knowledge in the subject.
