Help With Memberships

1. Navigate to the Memberships page.

2. Review the information regarding our various types of memberships and what is included.

3. Select your chosen membership under the subheading "Become a member or renew for 2026."

4. You should arrive to the specified membership category page where you can select from four options, your first decision will be to decide if you wish to receive the Elements magazine ‘Online only’ or also ‘In Print’ format at no additional cost, then you will have an option to add a subscription or not to our journal, The Canadian Journal of Mineralogy and Petrology (formerly The Canadian Mineralogist) for online access to this year's volume of the journal as well as all back issues. Depending on your membership type, you may be prompted to fill out any required information (for student and retired memberships).

5. Add the membership to cart

6. Access your cart (either from the drop-down that is prompted when you add the membership to your cart or by clicking the bag icon in the top right corner of the website)

7. Review your cart and make sure you have selected the correct membership category, the Elements format (Online only or In Print) option, and included a journal subscription if you wish to have access to the journal articles.

8. Click check out once you have confirmed your order

9. You will be prompted to log in to your account or create an account if you do not yet have one. A common misconception is that historical members have accounts, but please note that accounts will only exist if you have created them on this website (launched in November 2022). You will likely need to create an account if you have not renewed your membership on this website before.

10. Please create an account with the same email we have sent renewal notices to or log-in if you have already done so. This is a feature of our new website and so if it is your first time here, you will need to create an account.

Accounts will give you access to members only discounts and access to member-exclusive content on our site. It will also maintain your membership history.

11. Set account password.

12. Activate account with verification email. If you do not receive the email, please check promotional or junk folders.

13. Log in to your account

14. Check out by filling out or changing any existing details and following the prompts, if you have a discount code to use enter it into the discount code box on the checkout information page (this may be in a dropdown on certain devices)

15. Once you have checked out, you will receive confirmation of your order and confirmation when we have processed it and activated the membership

** Please make sure your default address is the address you would like your Elements subscription to be shipped to.

MAC members receive 20% off our publications automatically once logged in to your account.

If you are signed into your account and hold active membership and the the discount does not automatically apply to your order, please email office@mineralogicalassociation.ca with you first and last name and email address.

All members are required to have an account on our website. If you do not have one, please create one with the email we last have on file for you here.

If you do have an account, you can log in here.

Once you are logged into your account, you may update your exisitng information and modify addresses under Account Details > view addresses.

Please ensure your default address is the shipping address you wish to receive you Elements subscription.
