Phase Equilibrium Modelling E-Workshop

The workshop "Phase equilibrium modelling" was organized and presented by Dave Pattison, Jacob Forshaw (University of Calgary) and Pierre Lanari (University of Bern) as a Zoom webinar over five days from May 10 to May 14, 2021.

The workshop covered the following topics:

  1. The most commonly used phase equilibrium modelling software packages currently available (THERMOCALC, Perple-X, Theriak-Domino), focusing on their capabilities and pros/cons.
  2. The factors influencing the interpretation of phase equilibrium modelling, including thermodynamic database/a-X models, uncertainties, reactive bulk composition, and the interplay between equilibrium and kinetics.

The full program, video recordings of the presentations and pdf copies of the presentations and reference lists can be found here. The videos are also available to watch on the Youtube channel Phase Equilibrium Modelling.
